Private Pilot Private Exam 2026 – All-in-One Guide to Master Your Pilot Certification!

Formation flight may only be conducted by prior arrangement with the pilot in command of each aircraft involved. This requirement ensures that all pilots are aware of and in agreement with the flight plan, maintaining safety and coordination throughout the flight. Formation flying involves specific procedures and considerations, including communication and positioning, which necessitate agreement in advance to mitigate risks associated with flying close to other aircraft.

Flying in formation without prior arrangements could lead to misunderstandings or miscommunications, increasing the risk of accidents. Safety protocols dictate that collaboration and explicit consent from all involved pilots are essential before engaging in formation flight.
